Coffee Break Cafe To Shut Location In Boston After 6 Years

A local coffee shop is closing one of its locations in Boston after six years in service.

Coffee Break Cafe, owned by wife and husband team Jenn and Donny Ormond, will close its Hyde Park branch on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 3 p.m., according to a post on Facebook.

“We are so very grateful to have been part of this most supportive community for the past 6 years,” the owners wrote. “We love our space, our staff and our devoted customers, we will miss you more than you know.”

Coffee Break Cafe locations in Quincy and Milton will stay open, Universal Hub noted.

Coffee Break Cafe in Hyde Park is located at 680 Truman Parkway in Boston.

Several locals are going to miss the cafe when it closes its doors on Saturday.

“Really lovely visit. I popped in for a coffee and it smelled delicious, like hazelnut, butterscotch, vanilla, all the good flavors,” one Yelp reviewer said.

Another customer claimed Coffee Break Cafe serves “the world's best cup of coffee. Hands down.”

The Hyde Park branch will be open Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
